Take note that it is 7:11pm and I am sitting down to write this blog. As many of you know, sitting down is unheard of when you have a SEVENTEEN month old on the loose! How am I able to manage this task, you ask? My son is asleep. The dishes are done, toys are put away, and I am writing...
Brayden is ALL boy. He is ALWAYS moving, throwing a ball, rolling trucks, or playing hide-and seek with Mommy. The boy never stops. He is talking up a storm and mimicking everything that we say. I find myself constantly saying, "Did he just say ...?" I am amazed by this boy.
We have those moments while we are watching our children grow up that we will hold close to our heart and treasure for a lifetime. Tonight was one of those and I never want to forget how complete my heart felt.
I gave Bray his bath and then we headed to his room to read stories. As usual he sat in the rocking chair and Mommy sat on the ground. We read a couple books and then usually we would go out and hang with Gram and Papa. Tonight Brayden got up, closed his door, and turned off the light. I thought he was being silly so I got up and turned it back on. He then went and turned it off and climbed onto my lap. He just laid in my arms for awhile and starred at me with those big blue eyes of his. We sang and giggled, said our prayers, and before I knew it he was out.
Watching this ever so active little boy sleep so peacefully brings so much comfort to my life. Having him in my arms smiling at me is one of the most incredible feelings I have ever felt.
So tomorrow my teething toddler will probably be screaming Happy Birthday Mommy at 4am. :)
